Daniele Behn Smith is Eh Cho Dene of the Fort Nelson First Nation and has Métis roots in the Red River Valley. She recently relocated to Edmonton to practice Family Medicine as part of the faculty at the University of Alberta. Previously, she was enjoying the Northern life as a GP in the Yukon. She had the remarkable opportunity to participate in the documentary series Medicine Woman which profiled her travels to Indigenous communities around the globe to learn from traditional healers. As a result, she continues to have a strong interest in Traditional Healing and Integrative Medicine.
