The Pacific Region Indigenous Doctors' Congress provides a forum for indigenous doctors and students from across the Pacific to gather and discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly those of the physical, spiritual, social and cultural well being of our populations.

The 2008 Congress, hosted by 'Ahahui o nâ Kauka, Association of Native Hawaiian Physicians, will be held June 10-15, 2008 in Waimea, on the island of Kaua'i, Hawai'i.

On behalf of UBC Interprofessional Continuing Education, we are excited to announce that the advance notice for the Childhood & Adolescent Obesity 2008 conference (October 2nd – 4th, 2008 in Vancouver, BC, Canada) is now available online at http://www.interprofessional.ubc.ca/Obesity_Conference.htm. 

This conference brings together an interdisciplinary group of professionals who work in the field of childhood and adolescent obesity or are confronted with this growing problem.  Issues that influence how we 'live', how we 'learn', and how we 'work' and their implications for childhood obesity will be highlighted.
